After a three-year hiatus and each member releasing solo albums, Migos are ready to shift the culture again this Friday with their new album, Culture III.

In a new interview with Billboard, Offset reflected on the group’s famed Culture series and their impact on the music industry.

“We made this trap [music] go pop. They don’t talk about that. We made trap go pop talking about selling pounds and bricks, and we hit Billboard No. 1,” Offset says, speaking of the trio’s 2017 hit, “Bad and Boujee.” “Hip-hop artists weren’t going no. 1 like that, but now it just be ‘bang, bang, bang.’”

Offset says the group, which consists of himself, Quavo and Takeoff, plans on “switching it up” with “creative” flows.

“This is three years of creativity and sitting back because we felt like the fans deserved that. We didn’t want to make nobody upset, but our main thing was creating the best project we ever created,” Offset explains. “We gotta top Culture and Culture II, and that’s not even about first-week sales. A lot of people get lost in that, but it’s about the creativity and the records and what they mean when you talk to me.”

From Culture III, Offset says he can’t stop playing one particular track, titled “Rolling Stone.”

“You gonna see. Just know, you gonna respect [us] musically so much with what we did with that record, the sound especially,” he adds.

Culture III arrives on June 11th.
